"I think we're gonna get along just fine.  Dad!"he yelled as Kevin and his wife Christine approached the table.  Christine was no slouch in the looks department. Sleek build, bouncing brown curls and beautiful brown eyes.
Kevin was attractive in his own rights.  The dark hair, dazzling green eyes, tanned skin and a sexual appetite to end all time.
Nick was an only child and spoiled to death.  He got everything he wanted and that included Marie.  Not to say Nick used her as an ornament but if she were any more decorated, she'd have been a Christmas  tree."Dad you've met Howard."
He nodded.
"Howard this is my mother Christine."
"My pleasure Mrs.Scarpelli,"he took her hand and politely kissed it.
"Be careful or this one'll steal all the ladies hearts,"she admired.
"Nick,"Marie said.
He swung around."Sweetness,"he kissed her and then brought her around to face Howard."I don't believe you've met the newest member of the family Marie.  This is Howard."
"So what'd they hire you to do?  I'm an accessory."
"A beautiful one at that.  I'm here to chaperone you."
"We have a chaperone Nick?"
"No.  Actually, he's a bodyguard for you,"Nick returned."That is, when I'm not around."
"Come on Nick.  We talked about this."
"Marie,"he gave her a stern look.
"So,"she turned to Howard."You're gonna be my bodyguard."
"Well somebody has to guard your body,"he  returned.
"Keep talking like that and Nick'll make sure you're swimming with the fishes before the night's over."
"I don't think so. He trusts me enough to put you in my care."
"Doesn't mean a whole lot in my book. If we have to be together, there are three basic rules for you: A) Don't touch me unless it's absolutely necessary, B) I'm to be left alone in my bedroom and C) Only Nick can use the cutsie baby names for me."
"Can I call you Marie?"
"Well, since you're easy on the eyes unlike the last oaf Nick hired, I guess so."
"Any other rules I should know about?"
"No."
"I see the beginning a beautiful friendship."
"Don't hold your breath."

"I don't know what is Bri but it's almost like they have this weird connection and I can't compete with it,"he continued.
"I think you're seeing something that isn't there little buddy."
"I hope you're right but something tells me you're not this time."
