| Tamara stared out her office window as the sun came over the horizon. She knew he was leaving this morning and they had said their goodbyes the night before. She was gonna miss this newfound love of theirs. "Mornin' sunshine,"Liz bubbled from behind her. She turned her chair."How'd you get in?" "I told them I was on a mission." "A mission?" "Yeah. You miss him already don't you?" "Who?" "Don't give me that. I know what happened after I left the other afternoon." "How?" "I saw the look in his eye. He came there to stake his claim on your love and he wasn't leaving until he got it." "You make it sound so meaningless." "Oh man. You are in the honeymoon stage." "Funny. So why are you here?" "I came to take you to see him off." "We said our goodbyes last night." "How many times?" "A lady never tells." "You are no lady." "Maybe not to you." "So are you coming with me or not?" "I don't know." "I got you out of work for the day. You need this." "Okay." "Good. Now let's go." |
| "So what's dragging you down this morning D?"AJ came up behind him. "Other than the lack of sleep, not much,"he lied. "That's not lack of sleep I'm seeing. I know you better than that." "Then what do you think it is oh wise one." "I think it's the lack of sleep from gettin' too much,"he grinned. "Don't you have anything better to do?" "If I did, I wouldn't be here bothering you now would I?"as he followed Howie through his bus. "You're not gettin off that easy man. It's Tam isn't it?" "So what if it is?" "Oh My God! You finally did it! You finally told her didn't you?" "Yes. Are you happy now?" "So how's that working out for ya?" "I miss her already." "You decided to say your goodbyes last night didn't you?" "Yeah." "How many times?" "Age?"Liz inquired as she found them at the back of Howie's bus saving Howie from any further explanation. "Hey baby,"He wrapped his arm around her waist."You're lively this morning. What's up?" "I've got a little surprise for Howard here." "Your surprises are never good Liz,"Howie returned. "I think you might like this one. Come on Age. I need to say goodbye to you before these things pull out." "I wanna stay and bug the boy here." " Let's go,"she glared. "Okay,"he followed her off the bus seeing Tamara waiting paitently outside the bus' door. "Hey Tam,"he greeted as they stepped out the door of the bus. "Hi. Is it okay for me to go in?"She inquired timidly. "Yeah." |
| She stepped onto the bus. "What the hell do you want now A....g....e?"he turned to find Tamara standing there. "Nice to see you too,"she smiled. "Sorry. AJ's been bugging me all morning." "So this is your home away from home." "We've known each other how long and I've never let you inside my little world here?" "I haven't been the girlfriend but forty eight hours officially." "I know and I'm gonna miss waking up next to you every morning,"as he took her hand. "This is gonna be harder than I thought,"she dropped her gaze to the floor of the bus. "You could come with me you know,"He drew her gaze toward his. "It's only three months." "Three months too long for me baby," he drew her closer. "You know I hate it when you do that." "Do what?" "You make me feel like I'm the only one in the world you can't live without." "Because you are. You always have been. I don't know what I'd do without you in my life." "You'll never have to find out,"she softly brushed his lips. "mmmm. That's what I'll miss the most." "The most?" "Well maybe not that but it runs a close second to the other,"he smiled as their lips once again met. "Last call lovers!"AJ bellowed into the bus. "Did you hear something?"Howie inquired his lips barely leaving hers. "Nun uh,"she returned his gesture. |
