| "So talk,"Liz looked toward Tamara after an hour's worth of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream and a now blank television screen cut short by the click of the remote control. "What'd you do that for ?" "Because I want to know what that kiss was all about Saturday night?" "Apparently nothing. Can we go on to another subject?" "No. I hear you had words yesterday as well." "From who?" "Who do think? He talks to AJ about you constantly. It's like his favorite subject or something." "Has a funny way of showing it." "Come on Tam. You've know how you felt all along. He's only known a matter of two months. Men just take a little longer to deal with things. You know Howie. The moment has to be just right for him." "That's the problem. Am I gonna have to wait another two or three months before he admits it?" "I'm sorry Tam. Nothing I say is gonna make any difference. You're gonna do what you're gonna do." "You're damn straight I am." "So about yesterday?" "I don't know. I was pissed off because I felt something in that kiss and he pretended it didn't even happen. I'm so tired of this. I just wanna go on with my life and I don't want him to be a part of it anymore." "Yes you do." "No I don't ." |
| "You do too. Otherwise, you wouldn't be feeling so guilty about what you said to him yesterday." She exhausted a breath as her head fell back against the couch. She turned her gaze toward Liz."You know I hate it when you're right don't you?" "Yeah but you'll live. You know we finished off that whole thing of ice cream between the two of us? Keep that up and they won't even look at us." "Just spend a couple extra days this week in the gym." "No pain, no gain,"their simultaneous laughter interrupted by the ring of the doorbell. "Wonder who that is,"Tamara got up from the couch not expecting anybody else. She opened the door to find the very reason she'd been so miserable these days. The silence between them was almost as unbearable as having to speak to each other. Liz came toward the front door."I'm gonna go ahead and go,"Liz passed by Tamara."See ya later." "Bye." "We need to talk." "I've already said everything I wanna say to you,"Tamara turned away from him;determined not to face him. |

She turned to him."You're apologizing to me now?" "What do you want from me Tam? I came here to apologize for bein such a horse's ass all this time."
