Chapter 4
"Probably for the same reason I want to,"she  said as she regained her stability.
"Because you're a man and can't keeep it in your pants?" He attempted to lighten the sexual tension that grew more rapid than the floors passing them.
Her hands slipped around his  waist and her chin rested on his shoulder."We haven't done anything.........,"she whispered and paused."Yet."
The heat of her breath on his skin was just enough to push the right  buttons.  But they were wrong."We can't."
"We can."  She nibbled  softly at the crook of his neck where there was nothing covering it.
"We couldn't."His will getting weaker.
"We could." She whispered softly in his ear. What in the hell are  you doing Bev? she scolded herself and at the same time couldn't help herself.    For the one reason it was wrong, it felt very right.  So right she wasn't even willing to consider the consequences she knew he was.
"We shouldn't,"he stammered as he felt her hands slip underneath his sweater.  She was still only feeling cloth as he had a white t-shirt beneath the sweater and Oh Lord help him!  Her hands rested at the waist of his faded baggy blue jeans.
"We should."
He wondered if she could see how hard he was because he sure as sin could and her hands were way too close for comfort.  He could have stopped her but he wasn't really sure what he wanted.  He knew why he shouldn't but the reason he could was feeling very nice and soft and gentle pressed up against his back  No!  There was just no two ways about it.  They were both gonna have to suffer through the storm.  Alone."This isn't a good idea after all."  He  gently removed her encompassing arms as the doors of the cabin slid open to her floor.
She knew he was right but she was still disappointed.  She shouldn't feel rejected but she did.  She couldn't let it go without making him one last offer.  Before moving to step off, she whispered in his  ear,"I'm in room 1017......just in case." She made sure she kept eye contact until the minute the doors slid closed again.  Give him a reason to think about  her.  After all, she knew she wasn't going to quit thinking about him anytime soon.       She slid her key through the electronic slot and opened the door.  Damn him!  She leaned against the door once she closed it.  She was willing to give up everything good in her life for what?  One night with a man she thought she knew.   She didn't know him anymore than he knew her.  All she knew is that he was famous and when he sang , he turned her insides to jello.  And the only thing she picked up from him in the short time they'd spent together was that he was as stubborn as she was when it came to family.  It was really  kinda useless for her to get her hopes to think that he would even reconsider the option of sharing one night with her.  He loved his wife and he was a true family man.  One of those rareties is this day and age.  You were lucky if you could find a man that wasn't afraid of commitment.  Like she had.    She really had no idea what was driving her to keep the hope alive that somehow Mr. Goody Two Shoes was gonna change his mind and keep her warm for a few hours.  Okay, so that's not completely true.  She knew the reason.  She'd witnessed the evidence as she stepped off the elevator.  She didn't make her observation clear when she noticed either.  Then again, he could have been thinking about his wife.  Oh please Bev!  He was alone.  With you.  Sharing the same damn thoughts neither of you should have had in the first place.    She tossed her key on the table next to  the door.    She stripped down and jumped into the shower but she couldn't shake the thoughts she was having of him pinning her against the shower wall and fucking her senseless.  She knew what it was.  He reminded her of an old high school crush.  The All American boy that looked harmless enough to your parents but when he got you in the backseat of his car;  Watch out!    She married the exact opposite.  The guy that looks dangerous but isn't.  So why did she want Brian?  Why?  Because she'd never had the good boy.  She got out and dried herself off.   She wrapped the towel around herself and went searching for her flannel pj's when the phone rang.  She looked at the digital display of the alarm clock sitting next to the bed.  It was eleven thirty.  Even her hubby wouldn't call this late.  She picked up the phone."Hello?"
"You know I don't even know your name."  Came the now familiar voice.
"Doesn't really matter now does it?"
"It does if I want to get to know you better."
"Are you planning on coming to my room?"
"I was thinking about that and I came up with a solution I thought maybe we could both live with."
"And that would be?"
"A little dirty talk over the phone."
"You could get that from your wife."
"I could but it wouldn't be the same."
"Yeah it would.   If you want phone sex, call her.   If you want me, you know where to find me,"she stated and hung up the phone. The boy was on drugs if he thought he could get his rocks off that way.  If they were gonna do this, it was gonna be all or nothing.  And no sooner had she got off the phone with him, her cell phone rang.    Looking at the caller ID, she flipped it open. "Hey."
"Well don't sound so excited to hear from your best best girls,"Eve responded.
"Hey Bev!  Merry Christmas!"Kate shouted from the background.
"I'm sorry.  So what's up?"Beverly said.
"That's what we'd like to know.  You're supposed to be scouting the hotel for Boys and your room phone is busy.  What's up with that?"
"Some ole perv  figuring he could  get a little holiday cheer while he was away from the wife and kids."  Which wasn't too far off from the truth.  But she was no better.
"You told him where to go right?"
"I told him I'd call the front desk and have security kick him out if he didn't stop bothering me." God she hated lying to her friends.  Like they'd understand her need for Brian anyway.   They both loved Nick and that's what they were trying to get at.
"You should've told him where to go but that works.   So have you been out of your room at all tonight?"
"Yes I have and No I haven't seen any Boys yet."  Big lie.  Huge, fat lie.   She'd almost gotten freaky with one of them.
She heard the knock on the door. What now?!  She looked through the peephole and saw him standing there.   She opened the door.
"Room service."  A slow, knowing smile formed from his lips.
"That sounds like an awfully familiar voice Bev and we're not in Kentucky,"her friend commented.
"So people don't ever move?   I ordered some food and I'm hungry.  I'll get back to you tomorrow.  Merry Christmas!"she flipped the phone down before her friend had a chance to protest.  "I take it you changed your mind?" As she gave him her full attention.
"I was still thinking about it until you opened the door."
"Are you still thinking about it?"
