| Howie pounded endlessly on AJ's door until he was greeted with a porch light. Before AJ knew what had happened, Howie had him pinned to the nearest wall."What the hell did you do to her?" "Nice to see you too D. Now what do you want?" "What the hell did you do to her?" "Who?" "Don't play stupid with me. You know damn well who I'm talking about." "Ah yes, Kara. Now unhand me so I can tell you." "Not until you tell me what you did to her." "You asked for it,"he shoved Howie off himself and into the piano knocking the stem holding the lid loose and Howie to the ground. The lid crashed noisily against the base as Howie recuperated from the fall. "You wanna know about Kara? Kara's a tramp. I paid her to give me what you're getting for free these days. You think she fell into that one last fling business for a reason?" "You're lying." "I'm lying. Did you really even ask her what kind of relationship we had? All you know is I hurt her. I paid for that privelege." "You son of a bitch." "Kara's good in bed for a reason and now you know the reason." "I don't believe you." "Come on D. I know you got it in you. She is the woman you love after all." With that, Howie caught him with a right to the edge of his jaw and a left in the gut that left him doubled over on the floor."Yes I do love her. What she did in her past doesn't matter to me." "You are a such a sucker,"AJ slowly peeled himself from the floor. Just as AJ was about to aim for Howie again, Nick caught his fist mid air. "Stop it now! You two are acting like a couple of school boys fighting over the prom queen." "Former prom queen,"Kara interrupted. "Kara?"Howie turned at her voice. "You wanna know how I came to be? | She stood alone in her empty office watching the last of the city's twinkling lights dissipating into the morning's first light. How could she have been so stupid? She knew this was going to come out but she never wanted it to come out the way it did. At least she still had this.
