| The time had flown by it seemed as she let him woo her to the extremes. He was the perfect gentelman in every sense of it. It was as though he thrived on the process of being her savior. She had slowly let herself become lost in his world of romantic candlelit dinners, roses just because, and their moonlit strolls on the beach which could have landed him in her bed from the very beginning of this little adventure fate was dealing her. She didn't claim to understand what she was going through but she knew by this time that the secret life she was leading was not one she wanted to go back to. She already knew this in her heart and she was ready to tell him."Howie,"she broke the comfortable silence resting between them as they strolled hand in hand down the beach that evening. He stopped and took her free hand; giving her his full attention. He was always good about that. That was the first thing she had noticed about him when she'd first met him. His attention never strayed from her on even one occasion that they had the opportunity to meet. "I think there's something you should know about my past." "Is it about the "No it's not about that but you'll be happy to know that I have decided on giving it up thanks to you." "My pleasure." I certainly hope it is she thought as he continued to hold her gaze in the misted moonlight shadowed by the evening clouds. "So what is on your mind?" "Nothing." "Something's on your mind. You can tell me." "Okay. You wanna know the reason I've been so reluctant to open my heart to you?" "Why?" She took a deep breath and started,"There was a guy five years ago that really broke my heart. He never introduced me to any of his friends. He told me he loved me but they were only words to him and he had someone else. A someone that he wasn't willing to give up but he wasn't willing to give me up either. I made it real easy for him though. I left him as much as it broke my heart,"her gaze dropped to the sand. He drew her gaze back to his."I'm in this as long as you want me to be . I don't care anymore about what you've done. I've done some things in my life I'm not so proud of. Remember I flew some three thousand miles to be with you. You are everything I've ever wanted and I don't intend to give you up easily. Granted I said some things in haste but I was only seeing you for what everyone else was when I knew in my heart I should've done otherwise. So whatever it is that hurt you in the past, I can guarantee I'm not gonna be the guy to do it this time." She ached to tell him who the heartbreaker was but he interrupted her protest as he lifted a finger over her lightly glossed lips."You don't have to tell me anymore,"his lips slightly following it. It was the first one they had shared since they'd been on the islands. What a perfect setting for romance her mind wandered. Then it wandered to the fact that he might one day find out that this guy was his buddy AJ. Then what? She slowly submitted to the feel of his delicious flavor sliding through her pursed lips in an attempt to gain access to the unexplored reaches of her mind. |
| She lost herself in the feel of his pursuant hands as they roamed freely around her body landing comfortably upon her hip as the other played with her flowing golden tresses. She breathlessly released him of his actions. "What'd I do?"he responded; attempting to regain full breathing status himself. "I think we should continue this inside." "Are you sure?" She nodded positively. He knew he'd gotten into her heart but was this the right time to take advantage of that vulnerability she was feeling. He knew of it because he was feeling a little vulnerable himself. He never thought she'd let him in this far and here she was leading him up to her suite. He wanted this to be romantic for her. Then show her that tonight is for her pleasure; not yours. His mind was telling him one thing and his body told a completely different story as they approached her door. She reached into get her card as she felt his breath upon her ear."What's say we go to my room?" "Your room?"She returned hurriedly because she was craving the delicious feast of his body right now and going to his room would mean another sixty seconds of not being able to touch him, hold him and have him the way she so desperately needed to. "If that's what you prefer,"he steadily guided her down the corridor toward his room. In an instant, she was transported into another world as she followed the path of rose petals and softly lit candles casting a shimmering glow to the room's already natural beauty. He tossed his things onto the table and set her things next to his as her continued admiration carried her off into the next room which wove the fairytale romantic setting into full swing. "You're pretty sure of yourself there cassanova,"as she played with sheer drapery adorning the four poster bed. "No one says anything has to happen tonight." "This whole scenario is less than convincing of that fact." He chuckled. "You think I'm kidding." He silently took her hand."No I don't. I don't want you to feel pressured into doing anything you don't want." |
