Midnight Confessions

"You 'bout ready to check outta here D?  I'm gettin bored,"he remarked surveying the sea of people with no actual life to it.  A crowded dance floor with nothing remarkable happening.
He had a woman at home he reminded himself so why was he trying so hard to find one tonight?  She hadn't been keeping up her part in the relations department and even with a woman as fine as she was, any man was bound to stray.
"Yeah man. There ain't much happening here.  Let's finish our drinks and hit another club or something," as he took a swig of his drink.
"Cool.  Listen, I'll be right back,"he made his way through the crowded club with the music loud enough to vibrate the floor they were walking on.  As he was making his way back from the men's room there was his reason for being here tonight.  He didn't know her name or didn't need to know it for that matter."Hi,"she spoke in a barely audible tone but he heard her loud and clear.  The glimmer in her sparkling brown eyes met with the darkness of his soft deep gaze.  Her straight long golden blonde locks draped softly upon her shoulders as he swept it behind her ear and  spoke ,"You here alone?"
She held strong to the ascending heat  in her body from his touch."Maybe."
"Don't toy with me baby.  Either you are or you aren't?"
"You'll have to come home with me to find out now won't you?"she breathed against his ear.
"Just uh.....let me find my friend and we can leave here."
"Two of you?"she toyed.
"No.  I'm just gonna let him know, then we can leave."
"I'll be waiting by the front door."
"Don't be playing games with me."
"I promise.  I'll wait by the front door outside."
"Give me five minutes."
"You got it."
She didn't look like any other girl in here with the skirts clear up to their ass and he was intrigued to say the least.  She wore a floral print dress that draped to her knees and scooped to where her cleavage was barely held up in the delicate material. "D?"he tapped him on the shoulder.
"What's up?"  he knew the look in his friend's eyes."You didn't?"
"She's waiting outside."
"When are you gonna stop doing this to Amanda?"
"When she starts holding up her end of the bargain."
"You're nuts just for the record."
"Yeah but I'm a lucky nut,"he grinned.
"You know I'm absolutely against this."
"Have you ever said anything to her?"
"No.  And I won't because I personally think she deserves better than this but that's your decision."
"Thanks Howie. Knew I could count on you.  See ya  later,"he rushed toward the entrance of the club to find her standing there.
"I didn't think you were gonna make it,"she smiled
"I had a little disagreement with my friend but I won."
"You had to call your girlfriend didn't you?"
"Touche',"he responded.
"So you don't have a girlfriend."
"It'd have  taken a hell of a lot longer if I did now wouldn't it?"
"True.  So we going to your place or mine?"
"Where's closer?"
"I live just right around the corner here."
"You win.  Do we need a vehicle to get there?"
"It's within walking distance."
"Lead the way,"he took her hand as they made the silent trek to her apartment.
