Anonymous Internet Use Survey 2005

Sample Size:   281 7^th and 8^th grade students 

Method:  Volunteers prior to assembly program   

Instrument:  Paper and pencil survey with yes/no responses

  Implications/Results requiring attention:

·        36% of students polled had internet access in their bedrooms

·        60% of students polled did not have parental controls on their computers

·        47% of students polled had a space on Myspace.com or a similar site.

·        35% of students polled had posted pictures of themselves or friends online.

·        11% of students polled indicated a person they met online asked to meet them in person
