| A Guide To Dispelling Liberal Nonsense | |||||||||||||||||||
| Well folks, the war with Iraq has finally begun, yet amazingly, so many people still oppose it. Take, for instance, the Communist rally that was held here on campus last Thursday where hundreds of wackos came out of the woodwork wielding signs of anti-Bush propaganda, made solely for the purpose of indoctrinating the uninformed. The anti-Americanism and contempt for our country demonstrated by students (and some teachers) on this campus is really starting to disgust me. In fact, it has nauseated me so much, that I have decided to write a guide to why their cause is total, absolute, unquantifiable crap. | |||||||||||||||||||
| First off, I'd like to present to you a short list of the more prominent anti-war supporters and their respective amounts of education, as obtained from http://www.mwarrior.com/celebsVwar.htm. Soon you will see just how incredibly brilliant these half-wit imbeciles are. Let's begin with the so-called "A-list" of Hollywood: Sean Penn - completed high school; Martin Sheen - flunked the entrance exam to get into the University of Dayton (hey, if you flunk it once, what's the use in trying again?); Cher - dropped out of 9th grade (that's right, 9th grade); and Julia Roberts - completed high school. The trend continues among so many of these supposed "in-the-know" liberals. Even the hero of every Bush-hater, the professional truth-twister Michael Moore, dropped out of college during his first year at the University of Michigan. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Next, let me tackle some of the more prominent fallacies these anti-war simpletons would have you believe, and what the real truth is. Ask any pacifist what he thinks the solution to the current situation is and how he would have handled it, and nine times out of ten, he will most likely answer you with something along the lines of, "we should have given the U.N. weapons inspectors more time to find these alleged weapons of mass destruction." It is blatantly apparent to me (as well as to anyone who has a clear understanding of the English language) that the word "inspect" means to critically examine or closely observe something. Why then, should these weapons inspectors embark on a wild goose chase trying to find weapons factories that are hidden deep inside Iraq? The inspectors are supposed to be brought straight to these factories to actually inspect the weapons, but of course, these anti-war fools would have you believe otherwise. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Disproving their case altogether, let me present to you this chilling fact: the U.S. soldiers in Iraq have recently come across a suspected chemical weapons factory and are currently searching other sites from leads gathered from captured Iraqi documents and enemy prisoners of war. Furthermore, after some of these enemy POWs were searched, it was found that they were carrying gasmasks, which begs the question: why, exactly, would they need gasmasks if there were no worry of a chemical attack? | |||||||||||||||||||
| Another common anti-war argument is the claim that this war is for nothing other than oil. If this was the case, why were the oil fields not secured by allied troops immediately, before the Iraqis began burning them and/or opening the pipes, letting the oil run free? Secondly, if these anti-war Bush-bashers despise oil so much, where are all the electric cars parked in campus lots? Where are all the students riding bikes? The answer to these two previous questions is quite obvious: these people don't exist. It seems that the only thing an anti-war protester is good at is being a hypocrite. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Hopefully this article has opened the eyes of the people who are not yet brainwashed by the repulsive anti-Americanism demonstrated by the liberals of this campus. Remember: if you hate this country so much, if you hate living here as much as it seems you do, nobody is stopping you from leaving. Before you leave, however, let me ask you this: how many other countries would actually let you dissent so openly against the very government that is protecting you? Maybe you should think about that the next time you so easily bite the hand that feeds. | |||||||||||||||||||
