Graduation GCCC May 6, 2004

OK, I know it's fuzzy, but there it is.  The picture that the professional photographer took of me receiving my diploma cover.

The diploma cover is for my second degree, elementary education.  Now it's off to FSU in the fall.  I've never been so happy to finish something in all of my life!!!!  There are two medals around my neck, the first is from Summa Cum Laude in 1996, which was the AS in Business Administration and Management degree, and the second from Summa Cum Laude 2004.  I don't know if I will be able to maintain the Summa Cum Laude status at FSU, but I will give it my best shot!  Wish me luck.

Howard took these 3 and they came out better.  You can see the photographer in the upper left picture.  It's Howard and me just above and Patti and me to the left.

Picture of class coming soon I hope Graduation GCMTI May 30, 2004

Patti and I attended the Gulf Coast Motorcycle Safety course and earned a motorcycle endorsement for our Florida Drivers licenses.  The course was at a fast pace, but a good one.  For Patti and I it wasn't anything new b/c we've been in college classes forever and they go pretty fast.  It was a class of 8 ppl and the instructors were great!  (a father/son team) They constantly gave positive feedback and stayed cool under the collar the whole weekend.  (and it was a VERY HOT WEEKEND!)  Nothing seemed to upset or surprise them.  I really enjoyed being there.  When you had questions, they were ready for an answer.  I was totally impressed with the instructors.  Besides Patti and me, the other 6 ppl did wonderful.  Alex said he'd never been on a motorcycle before, but you couldn't tell it watching him drive through the course.  Vickie, the only other female in the class, also did VERY well.  I think women have come a LONG way baby!!!  I was so proud of Patti doing the "crazy" eight maneuver, it was unbelievable.  The other gentlemen in the class were also great!  One was in his 60's and I just love ppl who keep themselves young by doing new and exciting things.  I think Misty is next.
