This photo is of the Christian Retreat just at the end of our street.  During Opal the waters made it over and took the street in front of this retreat.  This is looking West.  9-14-04

Another (West) picture of the Christian Retreat.

This is looking East.

What a sunset!

Still looking West.  You can see the rain fall from these two clouds.

This is looking straight into the water.  Notice the concrete square drain in the lower right hand corner of the photo.  It drains the small lake from across the street.  You'll see it again at the end of this page.

Looking East on the beach..

This picture shows how much beach we normally have.  I know it's dark, sorry.  9-14-04

This picture was taken from the street where you never see the waves.  Here you can see the white caps.  The waves must of been 6 to 10 feet at this point.  It's 11:00 AM 9-15-04.  The storm is about 200 miles out from Mobile.  9-15-04

You can see where the waves made it to last night during high tide.  There is no beach left at this point and the storm is not here yet.  9-15-04

I know it's hard to tell in this picture, but the waves are about 6 to 10 feet here.  9-15-04

Howard, watching Ivan.

This is the picture from above with the concrete square drain that drains the lake from across the street.  9-14-04

Here it is again and you can see that the waves are taking it over.  9-15-04
