·       Very time consuming requiring lots of memorization

·       MUST learn word parts to be successful

§       Learn the language of medicine by:

·       Analyzing and dividing words into parts

·       Relate words to structure and function of the body

·       Spell and pronounce correctly

·       Strongly suggest studying at least ½ hour every day

·       Include anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology - learning about structure and function of the body in health and illness

·       Tests focus more on application than recall

·       Responsible for entire chapter unless told differently

·       Students trying to get into course, see me after class
