Our Last Day in Japan
(Click each photo to see a larger version.)
After we checked out of our hotel, we took a local train to Nishinomiya Station where Mizue-san was waiting for us. We jumped off the local, and got on the next limited express to Osaka. Mizue-san told us that Sakura-san was meeting us in Osaka. When we arrived at the station platform she was trying to reach Sakura-san on her cell phone. I stepped around a corner and - there she was. Surprise! It made another of many fond-memory-moments during our trip to Japan.

Mizue-san had us all pose for a photo.
We were able to have a pleasant visit on the platform for perhaps a 1/2 hour while we waited for the train to the airport. Sakura-san gave us each a farewell gift of beautiful handkerchiefs.

Mizue-san shot this photo of one of my most vivid memories: Sakura-san waving goodbye as our train pulled away. She bowed deeply as she drifted out of view.
After our bags were searched and checked, we had time to eat. Mizue-san was not hungry but we talked her into sitting with us at a curry restaurant. Spicy!
After eating, it was time to head to the gate. But there's always time for one more round of photos.
......

There, between us, is the image in plastic of the katsu curry we all ordered.
I love this shot of Christeen and me that Mizue-san took just moments before our turn to step through the security gate. We are doing our best to give the traditional Japanese "bye-bye" wave. (I think Christeen has it down pat.)
One more. But this was not the last we saw of Mizue-san. (^_^) haha! For the next 10 minutes, as we waited in line, and as our carry-on bags were conveyed into the x-ray machine, when we turned around, there she still was, waving goodbye to us. (but did I shoot a picture? What was I thinking?!?)
