My Faery sighting was not a sighting at all, It is an actual photograph I took in my yard with a Faery in it. My daughters and I live in California in a 1920 LA Red Car from the Red Line. (an old streetcar) We live on a beautiful acre full of trees, flowers, animals and plenty of children. My oldest daughter was very involved with her own garden planting plants that would attract Faeroes, flowers, a beautiful Faery house, and much more. She read a lot about Faeroes and was trying to attract them to our yard. Around this time it was 1-1-01, New Year's Day. All the neighborhood girls were over to have a whip cream fight in our yard. There were about 10 kids. I knew my Ricoh 35 mm camera had very low batteries which causes slow shutter speed and might distort the photos but I knew they would probably look cool. To my amazement when we got the photos back my daughter saw the Faery plain as day in one of the photos. Two legs, two arms, wings in motion, a wand, brown short hair, even a gold tiara in her hair. I right away checked the negative, and bright as day, the Faery is there! I did not see it at the time I took the photo. It is beautiful! We are blessed. Saige

Last winter I was playing with my digital camera and decided to take a picture of the frost on the bedroom window. I had just put away my fairy tarot cards before that.

After a few shots I came across this one picture that appears to have a face in it. If you look close there are also four small fairy like creatures in each corner of the picture. You can see their wings and even clothing. One is wearing a hat and one has a very long dress on. I'm not the only one who sees these shapes in the picture. I wanted to share it with everyone because I believe that fairies had been looking through my window and I happened to capture one as it was about to fly away. That's why the face in the center is sort of off set. Because it moved so quickly. I don't think I'm crazy but I've never had any encounter before. And after this I was really scared to sleep by any window because I did not want the fairies spying on me.

Hope other fairy believers find this interesting.

My husband and I own a landscaping company in Canada. We have a practice of taking before and after photographs of the sites. Last week my husband went to price a project at a property that is deep in the bush in Tory Hill. While taking pictures of the driveway that was to be redone, he saw in his peripheral vision things moving but never actually saw anything when he turned to look. That same day he went to three other jobsites and did the same thing. We never got around to looking at the pictures until today when he came back from the Tory Hill job, having taken some more pictures, I took the digital camera and uploaded the pictures to my computer to prepare to upload them to our website. Much to our astonishment there are images that look like little tiny fairies, or should I say fairy shaped white lights. The amazing thing, besides that, is that they are only seen on the Tory Hill project site. Both on the initial photographs he took last week and again on the ones he took today. We were so amazed by this I just had to find someplace to share this. So here is one of the shots. Let me know if you would like to see the rest. Honest to God, there is no enhancement to these things. They are just on there. I have used this digital camera for two years now with the same disc. Nothing like this has happened before. Would love to hear your opinion of them. I have tried to blow the image up but it just gets grainier. Thanks ever so much.

...and later...

They are most definitely not birds. Greg would have easily noticed that many birds disturbed and in flight. Besides that we have no white birds here. Only white ones are the snowy owl and they are only pure white in the dead of winter and would never fly in flocks. These were very small. With the images blown up full screen you can see that they are about the size of an index finger. They also have legs hanging down, birds, other than Herons, fly with their legs tucked up...

Well, i have reason to believe that a small fairy lives at the bottom of my garden. I have only seen her once as I suspect she is very shy. On this occasion I was outside playing with my dog and then I felt a tickle on my neck. I turned around yet nothing was there. So I went on rubbing my dog on the tummy when I heard a giggling noise coming from the bushes. I went to check. I was looking for a little while when I saw her. Now, I don't know much about fairies and all the different types there are but this one is blue and has really bright purple eyes. I plan to go looking for her again and next time I'll take a camera with me because I'm sure you can tell me what kind of fairy it is. It seems to like to play tricks on people as many people have said that strange things have happened to them in that area followed by a faint giggling noise from the bushes.

live in the North Island of NewZealand, near the sea. Fairies live in our garden at last! It has taken five years to grow a garden the fairies like and this Spring we began to see signs that some fairies have at last moved in. The wind chimes have made music when there has been no wind.

There was something that looked like a tiny, tiny cake of soap on the edge of the bird bath. And someone has been taking bluebell flowers off the stalks!!!
My fairy sighting happened when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I remember that I was sleeping on my bed in a completely black room. I woke up for no apparent reason and to my surprise I saw about 3 fairies that were lightly dancing on my stomach. I didn't know what to do or really what was going on, but I remember a soothing feeling come over me and I drifted back to sleep.
Growing up in rural Indiana, my father and I used to spend Saturdays in the spring "mushrooming." We would walk through the woods looking for morel mushrooms - a treat not often found in the era of the 21st century. We loved to go to a particular wooded area known as "Kermit's Woods." When I was deemed old enough, probably 8, I was allowed to wander a bit away from my Dad. The feeling of freedom in the woods, the smells, the dappled sunlight through the trees were intoxicating to a young and imaginative mind. I remember it always made me sleepy when I went off by myself and I had a favorite old oak tree I loved to sit under and make up stories for myself. I would talk to the plants and the birds. One Saturday, hearing a slight rustle, I roused myself to see a glimpse of the most splendid, bejeweled wings flying about me. Such tiny perfection, such a flash of utter beauty - I laughed out loud and that seemed to be the reaction she wanted and she darted about in even more complicated patterns. Upon hearing my dad's voice, away she scampered, leaving me with a full bag of mushrooms --- and I hadn't picked a single one. She has always stayed with me and I am now 49 years old. She has quite a sense of humour and enjoys moving things about the house. Only last Saturday (her favorite day and the day of the I was born on) she moved my glasses twice before I could pack them up and get off to my girlfriend's for the weekend. Unlike me, she is ageless and as my beauty fades, she remains the same...an illuminating light with a marvelous sense of fun. When I look at particular detailed fairy pictures I am very drawn to them so maybe that is what she would look like if I were able to see her close up. Two years after our first meeting, at age 11, I survived a violent crime. I was stabbed over 30 times and raped. Her light was one of the first things I saw when I awoke at the hospital. I never question the Universe, I only marvel at its greatness and my humble part of it.

Thank you for listening.
I'm 19 years old I know fairies are real because, when I was 5 years old living in Wales, I was coming back from a birthday party with my mum, and we were walking down the lane when I saw a fairy sitting on a rock in a puddle of water. I sat down next to her and gave her some of my cake, she waved and flew off. My mum also saw her, and ever since that day I have never seen a fairy again.

  Hi!

I am a twelve year old from England and I have believed in fairies for years and years. In the summer of 2000, May 13th, when I was nine years old I definitely saw one.

It was that time in the evening when the air is fresh and the sky is still bright around 8:00pm. I was the only one in my front garden and I was sitting on the doorstep looking at a rose when I felt a presence behind me. I turned around I firstly thought it was a butterfly with beautiful purply red wings sitting on the fence. Then, I noticed, it appeared to be sitting. As I looked closer I saw dainty little legs over the edge of the fence. I gradually saw slender arms and a perky little face with a cheery grin. I stared in wonder and felt as if I had left this world. I felt all happy and peaceful. I blinked and it was gone! I searched for it until my mother called me in for supper. No one believes me except my cousin, because I am just a child and grown ups just think I make it up for attention or that it was just my imagination. But every day I think of my fairy and I know what I saw.

From a believer, B.D.

Hi. I found your site after speaking to my Gran today. She was telling me about a time she saw a group of fairies in her house when she was a child. It was five in the afternoon and she was sent to bed for misbehaving. She told me she could hear a strange kind of chattering so she sneaked downstairs to investigate, It was then she saw a group of fairies chatting among themselves, she told me they then rose to the ceiling and flew away.

My sister has also seen 2 fairies in her garden. But myself and my mum have seen elfin type beings. We lived in a forest here in England. One day when out walking our dog my mum saw a tiny man about 2 foot high with a very large head and strong pointy features, appear by some bushes. He said hello to her and she replied. She said he was dressed in the most perfectly tailored green suit and had the strangest face. He then disappeared.

My own experience was one night when I walking by a neighbours house when I was 14. I saw a tiny elfin woman again around 2 foot high with a very large head, she was dressed in a pretty pink dress but had very thinning and stringy hair. She tapped on my neighbours door and then hid in the bin shed. Around this time many of the neighbours complained of people tapping at the door. It happened in my own house and also at the window of my bedroom. I know its hard to believe in something you havent experienced but beleive me theirs so much more to life than we are willing to accept.

I used to live in Calgary, Alberta and I believe I have seen a Fairie or little person. I have a large window leading into my front yard where I have three large pines. I was just casually walking by the window where I swear I saw a guy, with a brown beard dressed in blue or grey partly hidden by the tree, staring at me. Then he moved impossibly fast behind the tree and vanished. I later did the measurements and from what I saw this fellow was about thee or four feet tall! Now I have seen some strange things but that has to be one of the stangest.
My friend and I really love fairies. For Christmas my friend got a music box with a fairy on it. In the background of the picture was a tree that look similar to one in the woods by our house. We took the music box and went to the tree. When we got there we saw tiny little foot prints. We played the music box and I could have sworn I heard them laugh.

When I was younger (7 or 8) I lived with my grandparents. They lived in a subdivision surrounded by a forest. I had a friend who I always used to play in the forest with. We'd collect sticks and build tree houses with them and play along the stream.

One day I was in the forest with her and I kept seeing something out of the corner of my eye. It was a little person peeking out from behind a tree, just a bit shorter than me. When I turned to look at them they'd disappear behind a tree. At first I thought it was my brother playing tricks but I went to look and no one was there.

I didn't mention it to my friend because I was worried I was going crazy. I noticed she started to look behind the trees as I had been doing before and I asked her what was wrong. She said that she kept seeing someone behind the trees. I told her about what I was seeing and we went on a search for this person or people. We kept seeing them out of the corner of our eyes but when we looked to see them straight on they'd zip behind the trees. They were dressed in brown.

For most of the summer we'd always go into the woods and try to see these people. It became a game like hide and seek. We never did see them properly though. Every time I'd go inside I'd have a weird feeling. The only way I can explain it is if you've ever been woken up in the middle of a deep sleep and a vivid dream and then have to get up and go about your mundane life. It's like you're still living that dream. At our age we thought they were Santa's elves checking up on us.

The second story you might like for faery encounters.

Being a believer in faeries, I decided one day to leave them a gift. I had a little seashell and a shiny glass bead and I laid them on a rock at the edge of my yard. I said, "This is for you good faeries", and turned and walked away. As I was walking away I noticed my cat was walking towards the spot where I'd left their gift. Not wanting to have a faery massacre I turned around to call my cat back and I saw a faery! It was almost like a giant yellow butterfly that kind of soared or swooped from the spot where I'd left the gift into the top of a nearby tree. I considered the possibilities of it being a butterfly or a bird. It couldn't be a bird because it had butterfly wings and it had no body... and it disappeared when it got to the top of the tree.

If it was a butterfly it was huge and an amazing flyer. Each wing was about the size of my hand and instead of fluttering like a butterfly it quickly swooped. I went inside to think about what I saw then went back outside and sat on my deck. Something fairly big kept swooping around my head. It was too quick to see properly and was much bigger than a bug. It was probably too quick for a bird. All I noticed was that it was a brownish color.
TRUE Fairy Sightings
I live in Beaverton, Oregon. There are still some areas on the outskirts here that have forests, farms and the like. There is a road called Cornelious Pass, which is where this event occurred. Cornelious Pass is mainly a back road used for truckers or people looking for shortcuts, and I had a habit of driving that road at night. I was driving one night with a friend of mine, and he was skeptical to the core - a person who did not believe in anything "mysterious" or "unexplained." As I was rounding the corner on this dark night, my headlights caught something odd. I didn't see it as well as I would have liked, as my eyes were on the road. What I did see was burned into my memory and has been there ever since. There was something on the side of the road; it had been walking on its knuckles, like a gorilla. It reared up and looked at us as the headlights hit it. It was about four feet tall, the size of a child. Its arms were long enough that when it stooped it touched the ground, even though it was standing up. Its face - one of the images that remains hazy - I only remember as incredibly ugly. It was wearing clothes - and a pointed hat! I swear it. That's what got me when I saw it, what my mind focused on. A little pointed, cone hat standing straight up - like a witch hat without the brim and smaller.

The moment it saw us, it turned and shot into the grass on the side of the road. As it turned, I saw what I can only describe as a backpack. I slammed the car to a halt and turned to my friend, who was pale white and staring straight ahead, in shock. "You saw it too?" I asked. He nodded. I put the car in reverse and started to back up. My friend screamed at the top of his lungs, "What in the HE** do you think you are doing?" I screamed back, "Going after it!" He slammed down his lock and reached over me, locking my door. "You are not getting out of this car." He said through gritted teeth. "Drive!" He screamed. I didn't, calmly looked at him and asked him what exactly he thought he saw. "A TROLL! A GNOME or something! I don't care! Just DRIVE!" I knew my friend had gotten a better look at it than I, and afterward tried to ask him about it. He refused to talk about it again, or even acknowledge what had happened. I remember it, though - clearly. - Jovet
I am now 22 years old, but when I was 17 I saw a gnome, and this is how it happened. My mom and I just moved to Puerto Rico. She bought an old house on a hill that she fixed it up, and soon we moved in. One day I came home early from school. No one was home, so I went to take a shower. I could hear my dog barking and chasing something, so I got out of the shower, ran to the window and saw what he was barking at: a gnome! He was standing behind a tree. He was very small, wore a white, cone-shaped hat and pointy shoes. Everything he wore was white. He saw me and we looked at each other. When I blinked, he was gone. I decided not to say anything to anyone. Then a couple of days later when I saw him again outside my window, smiling at me... then he disappeared. The next time I saw him I yelled out, "What's your name?" To my surprise, he yelled back and said, "My name is Sebastian Polizar." I told my mom and she was like, "Yeah, right..." I told her that I would prove that it was true. I yelled his name out loud and told him to come see my mom. At 1 o'clock in the morning, she saw him. She screamed and she made me promise never to call him again. But to this day I still see him. We moved out of that house because a lot of weird things kept happening, like doors slamming and voices that just didn't belong. - Lynn
