| Fairyland is a place that coexists within the magickal Otherworld (a hidden place sometimes known as the Underground Country, where summer never ends).This is the esoteric ether that runs alongside our own world but in a different dimension and time frame. Fairies can pass easily between the two worlds, knowing where the doorways are and the secret magickal passwords, but as humans who have nearly forgotton the old ways, we find it harder to do so. Druids and witches who hold fast to the old ways are also known as "walkers between the worlds," reflecting the ability to pass between the two sacred frames. Secret doorways, or "curtains," are scattered throughout the Earth, and if you stumble upon one, you can easily pass over and find your way into Fairyland. But be warned: return to the human world can be extreamly difficult and often impossible. |
