| These are the famous and rather macabre fairies that wail, scream, and lament at the time of someone's death. In fact, the banshee is actually providing a service, because once the household has heard the cry of the banshee it is more able to accept the situation or, in some cases, get prepared for an all-out fight for survival! The banshee looks very pale and thin, with long white or gold hair and dark blue eyes. She is a very beautiful-looking fairy and a death messenger. When someone is close to death, she will come to the window and let out a certain amount of shrieks, corresponding to the amount of days that person has left to live. If a banshee shrieks once, the passing over is iminent. She is not really a fairy that you should catch since her job is death messenger, and if you keep her in your house, she cannot alert others. Also, she would probably keep you awake all night with her screaming. If, for some reason, you had to catch a banshee (and i really don't recommend you try), the justification would have to be something like when you fear for the health of another and would like conformation of their prospects of survival. |
