Bruik's Life Story in a Nut Shell

I have lived most of My Adult life as a loner. I had a twin Brother named William. It was when We were young that Our Parents FC contract lapsed, and My mother was enslaved as was her wish. I learned at My Father's side that all women were slaves at heart. Ohh I know that some are Free and that Our culture requires it to be that way, otherwise how would We continue? but in My heart I believe that all are slaves and have never taken an FC for this reason. I do not wish to Father Children only to have them abandoned when Their mother realizes what burns in her belly.

My Brother and I lost contact many years ago now, and I have heard it rumored that He is an accomplished Member of the Black Caste, but of course I have no proof of this, as I have not seen Him since We parted ways.

My Father died the same year that I journeyed to the Sadar Fair to fulfill the Gorean legal requirement of all Young People. I returned home to find Him passed to the City of Dust, and I was now on My Own as a Gorean Free Man.

In My grief I took flight with My beloved tarn, and traveled extensively exploring this world. Making My home here and there, finding nothing that called to My heart. I sampled the wyne, women and song In Tharna, Ar, Port Kar, Koroba, coming finally the City of Turia.

Within these walls I met a Free Woman Shahar Arcelis; already Free Companioned to Morgan Redjyk. One evening while enjoying the diversions within this City I was summoned to the City of Koroba by messenger to retrieve My Brother from severe injury. I flew at breakneck pace only to discover that He in His dishonor had tried to take His Own life over an infatuation with a slave girl.

I transported Him home, and after He had healed I offered Him the option of death or the coller, He chose death, and I acquiesced, being generous gave Him an honorable death.

The Free Woman after struggling with Her heart and desires for some time, begged My coller after a council meeting and has been known as My ruby since then. Once more proving My theory that all women are slaves at heart.

It was when I killed Morgan that the Ubar of the City and I became blood Brothers. So now I am blood to Dalanar. He appointed Me First Sword of the City at that time. Now I have been promoted yet again to the position of City Second.

I fill My obligations to Myself first, that being My honor. My Homestone is next, as without a Home, One is lost. And I will always remember the fact that Dalanar and I are Blood Brothers, having fought together, a bond that can only be forged here upon Gor.

One who has shed your blood , or whose blood you have shed , becomes your sword brother, unless you formally repudiate the blood upon your weapons.

From Tarnsman of Gor pg

The only life I have ever known or will ever know is that of a Gorean Male and Master. I know not yet whether I will father a child to continue My line. Recently I have met Woman Who has caught My eye, but as I said earlier it will take time for Me to know whether or not I would trust Her not to give in to Her wanton nature and beg a coller. Perhaps I will take an FC only to have a child, not caring what the Woman does after. Who can answer these questions? Not I at least not today.

A quote I fancy came to Me from a barbarian wench brought on the ships of acquisition. The slave was a beauty in Port Kar when I visited there and the saying struck a cord in Me.

“Every Man dies but not every Man truly lives”

On September 24, 2002 I took a Free companion. The Lady Amaranth and I shared the sweet wynes that morning officiated by Ubar Jeremiah Wyatt of Port Schendi AR where I now call home.

I left Turia after being named Ubar by the Council, and then exiling Dalanar. He returned and stole the Homestone, leaving the City to die. I have repudiated His blood from My sword and no longer consider Him a Blood Brother. I took My gold and personal items with Me, and now look forward to providing for My Fc and hopefully Family.

I have invested in the Tuchuk Gorean Tavern and the associated House of Talenders Training House with Peleus of the Tuchuks. I look forward to earning much gold from this venture.
