It is common to see slaves wandering the halls of online Gor wearing silks, it is the most common item of clothing for them to be permitted to wear. In reality, based on the books of Gor, very few slaves get to even see silk, let alone wear a garment fashioned from it. Most slaves, if given silk at all, recieve just a small scrap of it to be fastened to their collar or chains. Why do most of the slaves on online Gor wear "silks", perhaps it is because it is used as an all inclusive term because they do not know any better, or, they have see others use it and think that is is the only thing available for a slave to wear, or, perhaps it is because it is seen as being pretty and making the slave more beautiful. In reality, as far as i can see from the books, only the very rich and well to do would be able to afford to clad their slaves in silk clothing. Are all Free persons of Gor rich and well off. It would seem so.
White silk slaves may be one of two things on online Gor. They may be virgins, or their owner may have them wearing white to show they are in training.
In the books, the only white silk slaves are medically certified virgins, so in reality, a slave who has had sexual intercourse cannot be a white silk. If the slave's owner prefers to reserve the slave's use for Him alone, all they need do is place restrictions on the slave.
Red silk slaves ( pleasure slave - all pleasure slaves are red silk, not all red silk's are however pleasure slaves) will normall provide sexual pleasures to any who request, unless they are privately owned. Permission may be necessary from their Master or Mistress.
The only reference to yellow silk in the Gorean books was the garb worn by Paga Tavern sluts, they would usually be sexually active and come with the price of a drink. It seems that on online Gor every color of the rainbow shows up, from personal house colors blue, pink, green, teal etc whereas in the books only white and red and occasionally yellow are ever mentioned.
SPEAKING THIRD PERSON
Throughout the books most of the time a slave always speaks in 1st person, occasionally a slave may speak third person, but only in certain circumstances. Perhaps when she is in trouble, or perhaps when she wishes to try and weedle a favor or treat.
SLAVES HANDLING WEAPONS
This is an ircism. In the books, slaves do handle weapons, mostly kitchen knives, if not how could they prossibly prepare meals. Besides, what real man would be afraid of a girl with a knife in her hand.
SLAVES HANDLING COINS
Another ircism concering the handling of coins by slaves. In the books it is not uncommon for a slave to hold or carry money in their hands. Quote: Pg 250, Guardsman of Gor" The girl did not now, or course, carry a purse. Slave girls are not permitted to carry such things. When shopping she carries the coins usually in her mouth or hand. Sometimes she ties them in a scarf about her wrist or ankle. Sometimes her Master places them in a bag, which is then tied about her neck".
The Greeting Tal used only by the Free
Another ircism is concerning the greeting "TAL' and having only the Free using the greetings. Often in the books slave girls would greet using the word "TAL" as well as the Free.
