| Mattie married first to Charles C. "Charley" Bonta. He died on 6/3/1913. HARRODSBURG HERALD 6/6/1913 BONTA Mr. Charley Bonta, in the thirty-first year of his age, died at his home in the west end of Boyle, near the Mercer line, Monday, after an illness of several months of tuberculosis. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and a splendid young man.. Deceased was a son of Mr. Jacob Bonta. The funeral was held at Bethel church, in Mercer county, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by interment in the cemetery there. Their children were: |
