Anna Belle (Funk) Shewmaker
C. A. Shewmaker, 59, Lebanon, died at 1:30 pm January 6 at his residence. Mr. Shewmaker was a native of Mercer County. He was a farmer and was self-employed in the construction business. His parents were the late Charlie and Anna Belle Funk Shewmaker. Survivors include: his wife, Anna Lou Hourigan Shewmaker; four son, Charles Curtis and Joe Kent of Louisville, James Calvin of Raywick and Edward Funk Shewmaker of San Diego, California; three daughters; Mrs. Priscilla Berry of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Stephanie Jane Montgomery of Bowling Green and Mrs. Sharon Ailene Stahmen of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Mrs. Leander Christie of Campbellsville and Mrs. Edith Purdy of Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm January 9 at Bosley Funeral Home with burial in Hourigan Cemetery. Rev. W. A. Clutts officiated. Pallbearers were Norman Christie, James Bradford, James Ferrell, Edward Funk, Ronald Cordle and Virgil Gray Jr. Bosley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
