Wanted American Firearms
$ $ $                    $ $ $                    $ $ $

I am always interested in buying single pieces, complete or incomplete, and entire collections in the following fields:  American Firearms, mostly pre-1900.  I am especially interested in New York State and Pennsylvania State handmade firearms from the Colonial period up to the turn of the 20th Century.  These are today referred to as "Kentucky Rifles".   Thin barreled smoothbores are called "Fowlers", while smooth bore rifles are called "Buck and Ball" types.  Especially those with brass or German Silver inlays, including patch boxes and cap boxes, octagon barrels, full-stock or half-stock, flint and percussian.  Specific Rochester area gun makers that are wanted are: William Billinghurst, B.C.Wood of Painted Post, Sela Vossburg of Alabama,NY, James and John Miller of Rochester, Benjamin Bigelow of Rochester, C.Miller, Honeoye Falls.  I am also interested in American Military Shoulder Arms and Side Arms, from the Colonial period up until about 1900.   Those attributed to the Revolutionary War and Civil War are especially desired. Colt firearms----percussian and cartridge Revolvers, single and double action, including muskets  and revolving rifles. Winchester lever Action Rifles with octagon barrels from the early Volcanic, Henry's, and the Yellow Boys up through the various models into the early part of the 20th Century.

I am not interested in any cartridge type handguns that need to be registered.

Telephones span the range from the early Coffin types, 3-box sets, with special interest in early transmitters like Blake, Berliner, Edison, Gower, Hunnings, Clammond, carbon rod, Wilhelm Double Diaphragm, Overland, Cushman, Phelps, etc. Floor Tandems and wall Tandems are sought, as are Vanity Desk sets, pot Belly desk sets, tapered-shaft desk sets, fluted-shaft ones.  I will buy these "in any condition", and relish the opportunity to restore them to 100% original condition.   I am also interested in purchasing any and all parts for these early phones.  The following picture (TelephoneParts.jpg) shows an example of the kinds of parts I want to purchase. Native American Artifacts desired are mostly the flint and chert implements and weapons points found throughout America.  I am keenly interested in their weapons, including Clovis points, spear heads, tomahawk heads, knife blades, arrow points, peace pipes etc. American knifes include mostly those that were hand forged in Colonial America, up until the turn of the 20th Century.   Especially those fashioned from old Steel Files, and those with deer and elk antlers for handle materials.

Especially interested in any
and all parts, literature, complete phones etc. of the Wilhelm Telephone Mfg. Co. Buffalo, NY, the Sun Telephone Mfg. Co. of Philadelphia, Pa, the Charles Williams Co. Boston, Ma., the Davis and Watts Telephone Mfg. Co. of Baltimore, Md., Viaduct Telephone Mfg. of Baltimore, Md., Standard Electrical Works Telephone Mfg.Co., Gilliland Telephone Mfg. Co., National
