Hot Weelz: Caramut.

Monday 9th July - Wednesday 8th August 2001

Well, on Monday, 9th July 2001 the Hot Weelz project started its stint at the Caramut Primary School. The primary school is located in Palmer Street, Caramut and it was a fantastic venue. The School staff were just great about Jayson and I taking over an entire class room for the three days per week that we were there.

The classes also progressed well, with many students utilising Hot Weelz outside class time. The students also accessed the services offered, as well as some of the staff members.

We have also been providing assistance to the School Staff with some of their difficulties, and one of the staff is also participating in the Basic Web Design Course. The students have also utilised the facilities, which has been fantastic to see. We've also had visits from both Rob Quantrelle and Victorian State Manager of the Networking the Nation programme, Mr Phil Coppin, who both seemed impressed with the progress we've been making so far.

Well, we finished our visit to Caramut on Wednesday 8th August, and I must say we had a lot of fun there. I think all the students had fun whilst they were learning what we had to teach them. We look forward to our stay at the Macarthur Primary School in Russell Street, Macarthur on Monday 20th August 2001.
