| Hey, didja hear about the one where a girls roomate got murdered while the girl was asleep? Uh...I didn't, but I watched the movie anyway. Danielle Harris plays Tosh, who isn't the main character, but is, however, the most interesting. She is a gothic, bipolar manic depressive girl who likes one nighters with guys and Marilyn Manson. She's an outcast, basically, and she's the main characters roomate. She also dies, though. Tosh was trying to hook herself up with a guy for the night through the internet, but not only did she find a girl instead (although we don't know it yet.) but she finds the killer. She runs off to put her make-up on and when she comes back, the killer jumps on her, throws her on the bed, and starts to strangle her. Luckily, her roomate arrives. Unluckily, her roomate can't see very well because of the dark, and thinks Tosh is having sex. Remembering the last time she walked in on Tosh doing this, she keeps the lights off. (Tosh is desperately trying to get the killer off. She watches as Natalie opens the door.) Tosh: N-Natalie! Natalie:Sorry. Not looking. (keeps the light off, puts headphones off and goes to her bed.) Tosh dies, of course, and Natalie awakens to find Tosh dead with her wrists slit and a bloody message on the wall, 'aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights?' Because of her gothic appearence, suicidal thoughts and depression, police believe Tosh killed herself. Tosh is an interesting character. To quote Danielle exactly "I'm onscreen just long enough for you to want me off." Sure, Tosh is annoying, rude, evil, nasty and, well, everything like that, but she's also still beautiful and....uh...well, maybe that's it. But still a cool character, with an undignified death who should've lived just a bit longer. |
