| The Last Boyscout is about a guy with a scewed up family who's trying to avenge the death of the guy who screwed his wife and save the life of the guy who got him fired from his last job. It has football and Hallie Berry. Weird? Oh yeah. A movie for guys? Definitely. Entertaining? Yup. That's why I bought it. Also, Danielle, but still, it's really funny with good special effects. Darian is the main character's daughter. She is everything people don't look for in a daughter, though. Rebellious, trash-mouthed, rude, angry, and she hates her dad, yet loves him in a weird way at the same time. She's very outgoing, and spends her part in the movie being threatened by guys with guns, holding a puppet or a gun, or both, and cussing. Joe(Her dad)-Hey, Darian, I got some ice-cream here. You want some? Darian-Leave me alone! I hate you. Joe-It's chocolate chip. Your favorite. Darian-I don't care. You're an asshole. Joe-You know I hate to waste food. C'mon, I hardly ever hear the word asshole Darian-Oh, bullshit. Betcha get it all the time.. Anyway, Darian follows her dad's friend, Jimmy, only to find that Joe, her dad, is being threatened by people who want to make gambling legal. And they're killing people to do it. So she steps in, and using a gun and a puppet, helps her, Jimmy and her dad get away. So she's smart. But, she gets kidnapped anyway, and isn't the most compliant hostage. But she accepts her dad after he shoots up everybody, and it's a happy family. Bottom Line? Darian is smart but naive at the same time, pretty, weird, violent, rude and...well, pretty cool. |
