Sir Ian McKellen was born in Burnley, England on May 25, 1939. He was knighted by the Queen in 1990 for his acting achievements. He is openly a homosexual but that should not keep you from realizing his emmense acting talent. |

Sir Ian McKellen is my 3rd favourite and I have much respect for this man.. He is a fantastic actor and has played in Lord of The Rings as Gandalf and in X-Men as Magneto. |
