| POKEMON RUBY AND SAPPHIRE | ||||
| Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are the latest installments of the Pokemon series. They follow the adventures of the hero from Gold and Silver, who has now moved from Johto to Hoenn to start a new Pokemon journey. You guessed it - new Pokemon. There are now about 386 to catch including Wynaut and Azurill (baby Wobuffet and Marill). The graphics are nice and polished, with houses now incredibly detailed with TVs, GameCubes and lots of furniture. Lots of things have been advanced, such as the room feature. You can now have a secret base in caves and trees that you find, in which you can put decorations like posters and desks. There are tons of new Pokeballs, like the Repeat Ball and Dive Ball. And like the previous games, there are many legendary Pokemon, but in R & S there are TONS! Regirock, Regice, Registeel will require extreme puzzle solving to catch these unique Pokemon robots. Latios and Latias will make an appearance, acting like Entei, Raikou and Suicine where you have to chase them around Hoenn and deliver one shot each time you come face to face until you catch them. The fossil idea is back, now you can have an extinct Pokemon with the fossil you choose (I took Lileep). And you know the Level 70 monster there always is in a cave somewhere? Mewtwo, Ho-oh and Lugia have disappeared and are replaced with newbie, Rayquaza atop the Sky Pillar. Also, Groudon and Kyogre, the ancient Pokemon who caused the apocolypse have been released by Team Magma and Team Aqua (The new Team Rocket - remember they finished in G & S?) and you'll have to catch them to save the world. Also, new monster Bedlum, the FIRST EVER robot Pokemon! This game will have you hooked for days on end. It's time again - Gotta Catch 'em all! RATING:10/10 "Far too many things in it!"
