Mötley Crüe - Red, White And Crüe Tour 2005, Glasgow SECC, Scotland, 14/6/05, With Killing Joke. ------------------------------------ Hair Metal legends Mötley Crüe have reunited and have returned for what is supposedly their last tour (although they mention coming back tonight). This makes for an unbelievable circus act of evil clowns, acrobats, strippers, midgets, unicycles, pyro, and 'titty-cam'. Before the hairspray bandits take the stage, the British metallers Killing Joke are on. Featuring heavy bass music and catchy tunes, they are well-worth checking out. Eventually, a Team America-style movie featuring the Crüe is played. Then, some sort of evil clown appears on stage, and some women appear from a box. Then, some familiar bass notes are heard, and the big top curtain opens to reveal bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Mick Mars and drummer Tommy Lee, who open with classic song 'Shout At The Devil'. From the same box that the women and clown came from, singer Vince Neil appears and runs around the stage like a drug-crazed superhero. Which, I suppose, he is. Compared to this spectacle tonight, all other circuses suck. The second song of the night is 'Too Fast For Love', and the Crüe go on through 'Girls Girls Girls', 'Live Wire', 'Dr. Feelgood', 'Sick Love Song, 'Kickstart My Heart' and closer, 'Anarchy In The USA'. As well as the music, there are the sights to see tonight; Nikki Sixx smashing up a bass in time with the fireworks, Tommy Lee's 'titty-cam', a stripper with a chainsaw, a midget on a unicycle and more. It's just one big, demented, evil big top of rock 'n' roll. And so, it is an amazing show, and I honestly mean, amazing. The Mötley Crüe haven't lost their touch (well, they've got it back, at least) and are still as funny and entertaining as ever. See them while you have the chance!
