Have you ever thought, that perhaps emotions truely are the strongest force in the world? Have you ever been so moved by a song, weath in anger, sadness, or happyness, that you just can't help but react to it? Does the rythem sooth you or enrage you? Do you feel a connection beyond just the vibrations comming from your speakers? Is it one specific artist?

The characters that exist in this story certainly do. They've discovered, weather they wanted to or not, that music is much more then something to dance to, to sing to, to take forgranted, it may be the only way to save their and everyone else future.

A single person started the wave of realizations. Standing in a busy city square she could see the double of that exact city, torn apart and overgrown , her home in ruins for what looked like centuries. In her ear a faint melody began to play, strong, painful and raw, the strings of an electric guitar plucked cruely, yet it seemed she was all that could hear it, that guitar and a faint voice so much like her very own calling out to her for help. In an instant the two realities melted together, the people in that busy city square gone, and the girl standing amognst her ruined city, that guitar still going so strong and loud she could barely hear the hum of heavy bass from her own MP3 player's headphones dangling at her neck.

Curiosity was to strong to feel worry or fear, those eyes running over the horizon for a clue, only to meet the tear soaked eyes of a young girl, one firmiliar as ones own little sister, yet someone she'd never seen before regardless. Like instinct, the moment she saw the creatures eyes she grabbed the girl and ran, guitar something she once found comfort in playing all her own, was now the instrument that played her fear.

She kept running, only to run right out of that reality and to the one she'd been born to, however the small girl remained in her arms, wires, armour, tubes, she was no child of 2006, no that was for sure, and despite the fact it all seemed crazy, she was right there, she had to believe what she saw. what was that humanoid figure, why did that guitar cause so much sudden panic and confusion?

The cities ruined shadow was gone, but she could still feel it's preasance, that guitar playing so faintly, so permenantly, that girl was the only key to solving the mystery for her.

It seemed like something from a bad sci-fi movie. The future, another dimension perhaps? This girl and the world she existed in, over years was torn down and crumbled apart by the cruel vibrations and melodies of these unknown beings, beings who had realised the importance of music as a weapon, and managed to turn it to a language of destruction, to knock the world down into oblivion. It didn't seem like they needed to for anyreason, they just wanted to. They'd been fighting them off, fire against fire, or in this case, soundwaves and vibrations against soundwaves and vibrations, but it wasn't enough, the music manufactured for the purpose of war, it wasn't strong enough to defeat the enemies..They needed to find those who could feel, who could create, and devour the energy hidden in the waves of the melodies, maybe then theyd have a chance of ridding the distant future of this pain.

The woman found little reason to turn the girl down. What was she to do? Let her future generations suffer? Let the world die ? She felt obligated to help, to save them. Just as all those encountering that reality had, they never really seemed to notice those beings, slipping into present day life...Weather those capable of manipulating the melodies and the music want to fight to save the future, they've no choice now. As soon as she broke realities they came pouring in.

Melody of Oblivion DJ's:
You're job, is quite litterally to fight hand to hand/weapon to weapon/ or power to power against the "Oblivion".
You're granted an
"Beatsource" a creature/person/roboticalobject from the seperate reality that is a variation of your characters own soul so choose wisely. You're granted ONE artist per character unless you're playing an Oblivion force. You need to choose at the least 3 songs from that artist but no more then 8. You're songs must each be catagorized as offensive, defensive, healing, or boosting. In otherwords and angry song=off, lovesong or sweetsong=healing, inspirational or neutral=defensive. Boost songs are to be something that can apply to someone else in the storyline -that person being the one currently receiving the boost- it can be a song of friendship, reliance and so forth. Your Beatsource durring battle will find a place to hide or take to the battle field to fight along with you, and play your melodies corrosponding with your current need, that will give you just a bit of an edge against the Oblivion forces. Also.. yes.. you can have strange quirks or powers as long as they are due to and work with your songs or artist and so forth. The ability to change appearance and armour up at will can be facilitated through your Beatsource.
