Norwich a fine city!
This section is a little bit about Norwich, hopefully we will find loads of new street spots to ride/skate and we will list them on here with a little description for u to read. We will also put the places to go... not that there are any. Some good shops and some stuff about the skatepark in Norwich. Okay that's it Ill update this soon.
ST Crispins: This spot is near anglia Square and is a bunch of small ledges ranging from about a foot high upto about 3 foot. This place is really fun as the ledges are quite long and it's fun to do manuals along them. It's alos an idea place to learn doing 180s off and onto things and the like. It's not very slidey so it's only really good for stalls.
Mini rails: These rails are unerneath the flyover, thought they are v-low they are fun for learning tech stuff on like over to grinds and the like.
Castle Gardens: It's okay except it's infested with trendies. Loads of ledges and some steps that are okay and the stage is near which is good for learning stuff off and a little ledge down the side which u can manual and stuff. Lots of benches too.
The Church (Heartsease) This place is okay. It has a set of three which are fun to 180 down, it's also got a handrail beside the 3 which is fun to learn ice picks on. Theres also a long ledge down the side of the church along the road that progresivly gets longer... it's okay needs wax looks like it cud be fun..
Heartsease school- This place is probably now a bust. Though it's the funnest place to ride. A nicely waxed ledge that isnt too long but it's fun. a huge playground. Some more ledges varying in heights they're sticky so they are good for ice picks and the like. A set of 5 which are quite fun, a rail that's about bar high.. that I never managed to get onto.. Some picnic benches that are fun, little benches in the playground... a set of four.. this school was good.. maybe a bit of a bust but it'll still be good.
Woodside school- Our new spot is real small, has a small playground a really long ledge that is smooth and about 2 feet or so high.. some mini benches and round the back is like a driveway set up which is cool. Though it's a bust most of the time.
The Industrial- this place is a bust in the day but nobody gives a shit at night. Lots of crates to make all manner of stuff with, wallrides, ledges, gaps whatever. There's some ledges as well, and some big hills to fakie down.... a very cool spot.
Places to Ride/Skate
Places to watch music....
UEA-The UEA is the best venue about, though it only attracts the big bands. Which isn't very good, they have cheaper drinks and free water too... better than fats.... The stage is big and so is the pit.. Which is cool. It's a great place, really safe!
Waterfront- Alternative music place I guess, kinda shady on the inside, but good atmosphere, probably better in some ways than the UEA but sometimes it sucks, cus there's no space inside wen it's packed and they dont let u out!
GOOD SHOPS
Revos-Revos is the best bmx shop in Norwich, it hasn't got loads of parts and stuff but it has an okay amount of parts. Lots of t-shirts and stuff, so it's okay I guess.
Soundclash-Soundclash is on St Benedicts, it's like an alternatve music shop, with a smallish collection of US punk/punk CDs.... they're cheap with some good CDs, eg.. Descendants/NOFX/Get up Kids/ Pennywise for only 9.99 which is a bargain. The rest are like 13 quid which isnt bad. You can also buy tickets here for gigs.
Hoax- Hoax is a skate shop, though it's really good to buy clothes from, cus they have like really nice t-shirts. I don't skate but it seems like it has alot of nice skate hardware, which is cool. Its the best place to buy shoes as well, cus it's always having sales... and Im a cheap skate... oh dear that's possibly the worst joke ever.
