Introduction

I am a computer programmer with a love for challenges and a desire to solve problems.

I pride myself on quality and efficiency whenever possible.  I am very professional and

expect the highest effort out of myself and the people I work with.  I have many desirable

skills I can offer but my two best are communication and ability to learn.  I have always been

a strong and effective communicator in all aspects especially when communicating technical

ideas to non-technical people.  My ability to learn is great and I have excelled at learning

programming languages.  I picked up PL/SQL and Oracle in 2 weeks and FoxPro in 1.

Both of these were to adapt to my job environment.  I continue to learn and grow to this day

and hope to always be in a position to do so.

Programming Languages

Oracle: 2 years (expert).  Used in a large multi-database environment.  Able to create advanced

reports and programs using tools such as Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports and other SQL

based programs.  I have also had formal Oracle Programming classes.

PL/SQL and SQL: 2 years (expert).  Ability to write all types of complex and simple queries.

Used primarily with Oracle, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports and Fox Pro to create reports

and programs for a multitude of different users.

Java: 4 years (expert). Good with data structures and dynamic user interfaces.  Main body of

work has been in data structures, applets, and visual executables.

C++/MFC: 2 years(intermediate). Proficient at writing user interfaces as well as complex

algorithms. Have written several database programs as well.

COM:1 term (beginner).  Strong familiarity with COM workings and procedures.  Written

several programs from an Parser/HTML generator, to a Registry Editor.  Strongest when

            writing COM in C++.

HTML: 6 years (intermediate). Self taught.  Proficient with basic language and am able to learn

quickly how to do anything I am interested in doing.

C#: 1Year(intermediate).  I have written complex programs and have a firm grasp of the syntax.

I  am still learning but I greatly enjoy the language and what it can do.  I am excited about

            C#.Net.

Other Knowledge: Basic syntactical knowledge. Lisp, Prolog, Tiny C, Water Buffalo

(self written language). Experienced with Capability Maturity Model (CMM),

Iterative & Incremental Software Engineering Process, Object Oriented Paradigm, Software Testing.

Computer Experience

2002-Present: Programmer/Analyst: LiveBridge Inc.

Oracle PL/SQL Programmer and FoxPro Programmer.  Daily tasks include creating

forms, reports and programs related to data collection and organization in a call center

environment as well as creating and editing Excel macros.  There is a strong enfaces on

the maintenance, optimization and creation of Oracle tables, indexes, views, etc.

Communication within programming groups, with clients, and account executives is also a

very important aspect of the job.  The major tools used are Oracle Databases, Oracle

Forms, Oracle Reports, Toad, SQL+, Excel, Visual Studios (VB), Microsoft Word,

            Windows and UNIX.

2000-02:  Lab Manager/Residence Hall Technician:  Western Oregon University

In charge of daily running of the lab as well as the technical support for the residence halls at Western Oregon University.  Main duties involved troubleshooting Windows operating systems and software running on them.  I also provide hardware support for all types of hardware.  The labs main service is the installing of network clients (Novell and Microsoft) and Ethernet cards and maintaining student’s connection to the network.

1998-00:  Lab Attendant: Landers Computer Lab: Western Oregon University

Assisted the lab manager with computer maintenance as well as performed general cleaning and monitoring duties a lab attendant.  I assisted students in need and provided phone support on minor software and hardware problems.

1997-98:  Computer Instructor: Oakridge High School

Introduction to Networking course: Taught basic networking skills and computer

hardware recognition. I was in charge of 4 students and their evaluation.

Basic Web Page Design course: Taught Basics of HTML as well as internet research

and navigation. In charge of 4 students and their evaluation.
