| Advantages of Draft horses. -Draft horses can make a good pleasure and riding horse -Have hard hooves,if you work on soft ground mostly (not concret but dirt like trail riding) then the horse will need less shoeing. -Can learn easy and loyal, can be trained at young ages -very sweet (with posible exceptions) -If was first a farm horse it would have lots of endurance for long trail rides. Disavantages -Big horse, big buck, big fall. -can cost more to shoe (well some people must be afraid of thoose big horses!) -Draft horses wide bodies can be hard to sit on. -If first plowed feilds you will have to teach it to be riden (if you wanna ride) -They have also learned to never go fast (its a no no when plowing) -Can be very clumsly |
