Grooming and Bandaging
Be able to demonstrate and discuss the following:
- Proper grooming techniques and use of grooming tools
- Reasons for grooming
- How a horse should be groomed and trimmed daily
- Proper methods and safety precautions for bathing a horse
- At least five items that should be contained in a grooming kit for daily use
- Reasons why a horse may be bandaged
- Describe at least three different types of boots and bandages and reasons for use
- Apply a stable and shipping wrap with assistance (your Club leader will demonstrate this to you)
