Horse Life: Colors and Markings
Here are some common horse colors:

BAY: Brown body.  Mane, forelock, tail, legs, and muzzle are black.

Variations: Dark bay (like the one here), blood bay (reddish brown body).






CHESTNUT: Reddish-brown all over.

Variations: Chestnut with flaxen (white or cream colored) mane and tail, liver chestnut (medium-dark brown).
