This isn't about horses, but it's really important.

Amina Lawal, a Nigerian woman, will be stoned to death if she is found guilty of adultery in her trial on June 3.  To save her and others about to be executed, write a letter to the President of Nigeria and tell him that you think that Amina should not be executed.  To find out more and see where you can send your letter, click
here.

Time is running out; Amina may have less than a month to live.

Death by stoning is a violation of human rights agreements signed by Nigeria, and it's sickening to think that anyone could be executed this way.

If you're like most horse lovers, you probably have collected quite a bit of horsey stuff over the years.  Look through some of that stuff--you'll be reminded of so many great memories!  If you find any cute stories, photos, or drawings, please send them to
[email protected] so I can put them on this web site!

Horse Treats

Don't forget to bring your horse treats!  When you eat a carrot, cut off the top inch of it and put it in a container.  Save apple cores and other treats your horse likes in this container.  Feed a few carrot pieces or an apple core to your horse each time you go to the barn.

Spring Cleaning Horsey Style

So what if it's not Spring for another few weeks?  Get a head start on Spring cleaning of all your horsey stuff; it's 100 times more fun than cleaning your room!  Clean you favorite horses' tack carefully with saddle soap and leather conditioner.  Now's also a good time to clean all those nasty grooming supplies in your tack box.  Rub the brushes against your curry comb to get the hair out of them.  Hose off your curry comb, hoof pick, sweat scraper, mane comb, and anything else that's made out of cheap plastic or metal.  Note: dry off everything thoroughly before using it on your horse.  Speaking of your horse, spend extra time this week grooming him.  If the weather allows for it, maybe you can even give him a bath and get all that gross poo out of his tail.
