| Memory Devices: ~ Remember the rhyme "Loins, croup, dock, stifle, gaskin, hock," and the order that these parts go in. My friend sings this "song" and does a little dance while pointing to the parts... you can't really forget it after that. ~ The parts on the front leg are hard to memorize, and I haven't been able to come up with a good trick to remember it. Just point to the parts on a quiet, CALM horse or a larger toy horse and say them as fast as possible. ~ Remember, "Poll [the top of the head], shoulders, knees, and hooves. Eyes and ears, mouth and muzzle," while pointing to a horse. ~ It helps to have a real horse to point to when memorizing the parts. If you do this, take precautions like having an someone who is experienced in dealing with horses with you and using a quiet horse. In other words, I'm not responsible if you get kicked. |
