| "IF YU ARE STILL READING THIS INFORMATION, YOU ARE ONE OF THE VERY FEW PEOPLE THAT TAKES TRAINING YOUR HORSE AS SERIOUS AS I DO. ! ! ! ! ! " Contrary to "MY" best interests Happy Horse Stall Lime is not the best product to use for your horse stalls, ok, so maybe I'm not a very good sales man. The truth of the matter is tat rubber mats and good clean wood shaving are the best. Wood shavings work great in a stall, were they are changed on a regular basis, but terrible in an arena were they are not changed regularly because they rot and become a breading ground for all kinds of molds and bacteria's. Although the second best, and more economical thing is to use is "Happy Horse Stall Lime", with a layer of wood shavings, of straw. Either way you go, it is best to have a 18 inch minimum base of 1/2 inch minus limestone compacted before you install the top 6 inches of "Happy Horse Stall Lime" or your rubber mats. Many people will tell you that you should have a clay base in your stalls. That makes no sense, because you want any excess liquid, that is not absorbed in the wood shavings to drain way through the 1/2 limestone. The clay will hold in all the moisture and bacteria, while the limestone will disinfect and eliminate the moisture. Please remember that "Horse Stalls"and "Trainging Arenas" are completely different form each other. |
