CCR RULES
These rules have been set in place to insure fairness to all members of CCR and it is your responsibility to know and abide by all rules at any time at any CCR event.
1. Must be a member to participate in any CCR event. There is no limit to the number of horses a member can compete on initial membership fee of 15.00 covers one member and one horse. Additional horses must be added to the membership for an additional fee of 5.00 per horse. Each additional horse will be given its own horse member number and will be added into membership in the horse’s specific category.
2. You must advise staff before your run as to which horse, member number and category you are riding in.
3. You can not substitute a horse for any reason. There maybe exceptions horse must meet requirements for substitution. See staff for the requirements. NO HORSE WILL BE ALLOWED SUBSTITUTION ON A FINAL RACE DAY FOR ANY REASON.
4. No unsportsman like conduct will be tolerated. If you are found guilty of such a type of conduct you will be suspended from competing if you have already competed the day you are found guilty of such conduct your points or earnings will be taken away or not given for that days event.
5. No inhumane treatment of animals will be tolerated. If you are found guilty of mistreatment of your animal you will be fined 250.00 and will be suspended from participating for 30 days up to the entire year based on the specific incident.
6. It is highly recommend that no horse compete if it proposes a potential danger to riders or other horses. If it appears your horse becomes a potential danger you will be asked to remove your horse from all other horses and riders.
7. No dogs allowed.
8. Alcohol is not permitted by participants in CCR competitions.
9. Any rider under 9 yrs old whether competing or not, if mounted on a horse must wear a helmet. Unless being led by and adult
POINTS
Points will be awarded to 6th place.
Points will be given
at every CCR barrel race event or jackpot. Unless marked with a * The more you ride

Points are given per series and highpoint awards are given at the end of each series.
Some series events will be pointed in category according to your horses level of competition which is determined by the dollar amount your horse has won by competing in barrel racing or gymkhanas
When filling out your membership application please indicate what category your horse or horses is in.
Please be honest to insure fairness.
If you are not honest and your category is challenged and you are found guilty or lying about your category you will be disqualified.
You may be asked to provide a copy of your horse’s registration papers if your category is challenged.
Your category can be challenged by any member.
Your horse’s category will be set at the beginning of each CCR calendar year of which you join
CCR and will remain the same regardless of winnings until the next calendar year.

4. NON 4-D JACKPOTS WILL BE SPLIT INTO TWO CATEGORIES JUNIOR, OR ALL OTHER RIDERS
ARENA RULES
1. YOU MAY HAVE AS MANY TIME ONLY RUNS AS YOU LIKE. TIME ONLY FEE IS 5.00 PER RUN
2. YOU MAY NOT PATTERN YOUR HORSE AROUND THE BARRELS IN WARM UP TIME DOING SO WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
3. WHILE WARMING YOUR HORSE UP YOU MAY CIRCLE THE ARENA IN A COUNTER CLOCK WISE DIRECTION.
4. PLEASE BE COURETOUS TO OTHER RIDERS DURING THE WARM UP PERIOD.
5. ONCE WARM UP TIME HAS BEEN COMPLETED YOU MUST EXIT THE ARENA AND NOT ENTER AGAIN UNTIL YOUR NAME IS CALLED FOR YOUR RUN.
6. IF CCR IS IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE IN ANY WAY WITH THE ARENA
(IE.) SETTING BARRELS ORWORKING GATES YOU MAY BE ASKED TO HELP
COMMITTEE
The CCR committee will be made up of volunteer members of the CCR club. The committee will assist the board of directors in decision making and planning. Committee members may be asked to help out at events. Or assist in putting on special events held by CCR. CCR was created by barrel racers for barrel racers but is not limed to just barrel racing so if you have ideas or would like to see CCR hold different types of events join the committee.
CCR OTHER
We may occasionally have a meeting after an event. All members are welcome to attended a meeting and will be given time to make suggestions or comments. All members can write the CCR at any time to the above address with suggestions or comments. The purpose of the set rules is to insure fairness. At CCR we believe that barrel racing should be fun and for everyone.
We will always up hold these rules to be fair and equal.
These rules will be subject to change or may need to be amended without prior notice.
