| The rules are simple: To submit a story you must have at least 1 CritCredit in your account. To earn CritCredits you must critique other's stories. CritCredits are earned at the rate of 1CritCredit per 10,000 word story critiqued. In other words, critiquing a 5,000 word story will earn you 1 CritCredit. Critiquing a 40,000 word novella, will earn you 4 CritCredits. Participation is mandatory. If you don't plan to participate, don't join. Membership in the group will be discontinued after four critique periods pass with no activity. That basically means you have two months before you'll get kicked out, as there are two critique periods per month. Stories of any length can be submitted, but keep in mind that shorter stories will get more critiques. You may submit a longer work in pieces, however, such as a couple of chapters at a time, or even sections at a time. Stories will be presented to the group bimonthly - on the 2nd and 16th of each month. They will be sent to the group address as attachments. Stories over 40,000 words long will be listed in the e-mail as available. Interested readers can e-mail to group owner to request a copy of the longer story. Critiques must be at least 100 words long, not including quoted text from the story, and are due the day before the next critique period begins, in other words, on either the 1st or 15th of the month. Please note these rules are subject to change! The group is still in its infancy, and as such, things may need to be tweaked from time to time. Upon joining, you will receive a more thorough copy of the rules with instructions for submitting stories and critiques. |
