| "In the lake, the one... the one who attacked me... the one who pulled me underneath the water." "Ma'am, we didn't find any boy." The year is 1957, the location is Camp Crystal Lake, after the lake's sparkling cool water, and it sits beside an old unfurnished house that hasn't been stepped into for some years. The lake is now property of the Horrorland Hotel, a new addition to the hotel's myths and legends of it's disturbed, but intriguing past. But this story, is just one of them. When the lake opened in the summer of 1957, the counselors of a nearby camp soon bought the property, and introduced it's tranquil, serene waters to the camp visitors. Not longer than a few months later, did the two unknown counselors become responsible for the tragic drowning of a young boy. A little less than a year after, the counselors were murdered by an unseen killer, and Camp Crystal Lake was closed. 22 years later, Camp Crystal Lake was re-opened by the counselor's oldest son, and he hires a few teenage counselors to help run the place for the summer of 1980. It is said that each teen was killed off one by one, again by an unseen person. Although one survivor remained, they have not been seen or heard of since. The lake once again closed, and has been for another 22 years. The lake is now a showing, fenced off with wrought iron gates and metal locks, warning people with a wooden sign: Enter At Your Own Risk No one has yet attempted to walk past the gates and into the water... but after many teenagers today hear the story of Camp Crystal Lake, now we know why. |
