| Crypt Legends Stephen King Author Stephen King is not just a horror writer, but he has written many horror classics, such as The Shining, Misery, IT, Pet Sematary, among many others. He has also penned such great, not technically horror novels like The Dead Zone, and The Stand. He has written over 30 books, and many of those books have been made into movies such as The Shining (both a movie and a mini-series), Chrisitine, Cujo, The Stand, Creepshow, and the Children of the Corn series. King is an incredible and terrifiying writer.
