Robert Englund first started acting on a tv show. He played a lovable alien. Englund did not want to go through the rest of his life known as a lovable alien, so he auditioned for the part of freddy krueger. This sealed his fate, now he will always be known as the evil freddy krueger. He has acted in many other movies beside the ANOES series.... but i can't even name one... he will always be known as freddy krueger.
