I was born on December 14, 1962 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the only Hoosier in a family of Wisconsin Badgers (the relatives love to tease me on that point).  I spent my formative years in a housing complex called River Ridge  that was part of the Indiana Army Ammunition Plant. This was an area  filled with forests, caves, Devonian age fossils, and many other  distractions for an inquisitive child.  I developed an interest in art from early on and began to pursue this vocation in high school. I received formal training at the Louisville  School of Art and Indiana University Southeast. My wife Becky (who works the real job so I can illustrate) and I,  along with our dog and four cats, live in a 114 year old house in the strange little village of Charlestown, Indiana.
