The plot of Ichi is basically simple, and insanely difficult to understand. This could be a blessing or a curse, but in this case it�s a blessing because it opens up hours of discussion about possibilities, and of course the ending is a great discussion also. The plot's basic nut shell is: Ichi is a sadistic serial killer, being mind warped by an ex-cop to kill yakuza leaders. He kills the Anjo gang boss and makes a very deadly enimie. Kakihara one sick S.O.B., Kakihara tears apart the underworld looking for his boss.

I'd tell you about some of the scenes but I want you going in unprepared.
The acting is top notch, the voice actors are british and sound good, the actors also have very good physical manerisums. Gallons of gore, and a great story. Good moments of comedy. But it does have its problems. Some of the scenes are a bit slow, but I don�t really mind that. BUT my biggest issue with it is some terrible CGI, but This one minute or so on camera isn�t that big of a deal with the genius characterization and the struggles present in all the character interactions.
Get the uncut edition the r-rated version is kind of tame.
