I've been a lazy ape, it has been over 9 months since my last update, bad, bad me! Life in the Tacotropolis is ok, nice and wet and slightly clammy at the moment, just like I like it.

August was a nice transition point, I 'finished' at Bates Diploma Mill...over the past few months, I've been putting my high-tech degree to work doing finish carpentry, fence building, and some landscaping. Yes, learning IP subnet masking HAS paid off! And how about that economy, eh?

In October, I had a health 'foible', and got to spend a week at Tacoma General. Nice staff, but the food is nothing to blog about. I had been having a series of horrible headaches, accompanied with severe nasuea. I thought it was migraines, turns out that my family inherritance of hypertension was kicking in. I had a blood pressure of 210 of 104 in the emergency room. I guess that was high, I dont know, I'm not so good with fractions. So, now I have another prescription to juggle. Oh, did I mention the kidney biopsy?

Speaking of the kidney biospy, I mean biopsy, part of the preparation involved an ultra-sound exam. I've seen two ultra-sound procedures performed, both for 'muffins in the oven', and so I never expected to have one. Well, it was interesting....the most remarkable point was when I could see one of my kidneys clearly, the exterior of the organ, as opposed to a cross-section type view...and, oddly enough, I felt a pang of hunger, and my mouth started to water! Not the reaction most people have when viewing their own internal organs, I suppose. When I related this story to Josh and Pythagumus (my band mates), they were both disturbed, damn vegitarians!

Francis Minotaur has had about 10 shows this year, the last one was the middle of November at the Vogue in Seattle. If you're not familiar, the Vogue is a goth club, and I was kind of suprised that they wanted us to play there, and I was even more suprised when they invited us back. We'll see what happens. Francis seems to be in a coma, we dont know if he will pull thru. On the otherhand, I might be making music with this guy named Hadrian here in Tacoma, he has been doing fringe stuff for a while, including 'mashups' as far back as the 70s...should be interesting.

My parents are adding on to their house, so the ancestral stead will be growing from two rooms to three. If I can get access to a scanner, I will put up some pix of the place, it is kind of cool, in a rough-hewn sort of way.

Art has been pretty rewarding over the past nine months. I was part of the 'Suitcase Sightings' project. Check it out, if you like: WWW.SuitcaseSightings.Org. I've also been attending the Hundredth Monkey parties, kind of a artists networking/get together/suck up some free wine and cheese kind of thing. I've also been doing plenty of blacksmithing with Mark and currently, there is a sculpture on display here in Tacoma at >'King's Books'. I'llsee what I can do about getting a pic of the sculpture on this page.
