Seasoned Memories

It started to rain
And I ran into the street
Jumped in the air and splashed puddles under my feet
Made paper boats
Down the stream it would float
Flowing to the drain

The sun shone bright
And I played on the grass
Tumbled down hills til I ran out of gas
Made the best of the day
Till the sun went away
And played hide and go seek at night

Autumn came
And the leaves did not fall in loneliness
But in bright cheery happiness
As I jumped in the piles
And caught my breath for a while
Dreaming of fortune and fame

When winter was here
We made snowmen and forts
And assembled some cohorts
And threw snoballs at busses
And then ran like wusses
As the snow danced in the air
