Fallen Star
I must have infrared vision,
As I watched you weave through the crowd,
Touching every person as you squeezed by,
Lifting so many dark shrouds.
Did they not realize your strength,
Like a shining star in the daylit sky.
Did they not notice your warmth,
Like the only star twinkling in the night.
When you shot across the sky
And descended to earth,
I made a simple wish,
That you too would find a star one day, right before your eyes.
