Desert Rain

I have walked many miles
Through the dry desert dune,
My journey never seems to end.
It
rained just a few times
When I thought I would surely die,
But it only lasted for a while,
Enough to keep me going.
I savored every
drop I was given,
But sure enough it was gone.
The sands passed by this hour glass
And still no sign.
Where is my
oasis,
To give me a long
drink within this dry dry desert?
When I find it,
Will it be real or just another mirage?
Living each day waiting for it to
rain.
