from Marcus Carter it is clear that Devi
was most likely host to an alien parasite
much like Carl Stewart, but for some
reason she managed to control the extent
to which this parasite could influence
her actions. |

Devi ran away from home at a young
age, in many respects driven away by her
career-military father who had little
time for her. She fell in with a group of
pirates, and when they were captured she
was sent to Solace, to participate in a
harsh resocialisation program. After a
number of years on the barren desert
