First of all I got into this band by just hearing the track"Credoulous Worm"
they offer on their website.I can only describe their sound as something that will catch your ear once you listen to it,the vocals are really deep and sick they grabbed me instantly.Claudio Salinas(Guitar/Vocals)took timeout to tell me more about Trimegisto. |

ECM:Give us a brief history of the band? |
|
|
|
Claudio:Well,we began in 1999.I was a Dominus Xul guitarist,a cult Chilean Death Metal band,and with my brother Pablo we decided to get together with FabiAin(Stigmatized founder)to do our own music,but we could never sum up a fixed line up,mainly back then I used to play guitar.After many failed intents to find an appropriate bass player,I decided to play the bass guitar and do the voices at the beginning of 2001,performing in Santiago' Bars.After this and at the end of 2001 we made a small recording,our 4 songs promo,called"Chaos Contemplation"that has been distributed independently.
By the middle of 2002 Rodolfo(Melektaus member)joins as guitarist,and in August of the same year,we played with the band Orategod for their EP presentation,giving
a clear sights of the dark Death Metal that we are doing.Our latest shows have been devastating,giving clear samples of our scenic evolution.Then we can find an appropriate bass player,thing that made me get back to the guitar again,and our current line up is the following one.Pablo Salinas:Drums,Claudio Salinas:Guitar and Voices,FabiAin Rivera:Guitar and choirs,Felipe Soto:Bass and choirs. |

ECM:The song"Credoulous Worm"on your website is Very Heavy,the vocals sound incredible,is most the material in the same style? |

Claudio:We cause that each song has it's own history.In any case the crude sound and the own atmospheric are what the band wants to obtain.In short we tried to make atmospheric songs and songs powerful. |

ECM:What is the meaning of Trimegisto and how did you come to use it? |
|
|
|
Claudio:Trimegistro is the master's name of the hermetic philosophy.There is much hermetism in our thought and the way since we make music.It is a name that it defies to us to surpass everyday to us. |

ECM:Have you played any shows lately and how where they? |
|
|
|
Claudio:Our complete presentation was with our new formation.To us it served us to begin our new stage like band.We gave much of us on the scene,does not interest to us to put strange nor expensive badness positions.Single we submerged in our music and to explain part of our being to the hearing. |

ECM:What international bands do you consider inspiration? |
|
|
|
Claudio:Pestilence,Immolation,Carcass,Morbid Angel and Death,Personally Autopsy and Incantation. |

ECM:Does the band have any new material that will be coming out in the near future? |
|
|
|
Claudio:For the inauguration of our website we need to record a pair of songs of professional sound to send in the 16 of August and to appear live that same day in the center of events Laberinto.Finished that we will prepare ourselves to record our album debut,but there is no confirmed date. |

ECM:Whats your view on the Metal scene in Chile? |
|
|
|
Claudio:We have grat respect and admiration by all the musicians who make true metal in Chile.We are contacted between most of the bands,I have very good friends and with all the difficulty that means to dedicate us to us to music we supported in our small scene.The best band of this year of Death Metal is Death Smell. |

ECM:Trimegisto has very good potential in my opinion,what do the people there feel about the band? |
|
|
|
Claudio:Thanks,Although always we recieved the support of the bands and of the spectator,we want to be concentrated in continuing creating we think that lacks us to arrive at our own sound.Also supplies of local seals exist,but we do not want to hurry to make decisions that affect our future,since the swindlers abound. |

ECM:How can the fans outside of Chile get your material? |

|
Claudio:We will pubish it on our website once sent in the web,It is a good thing to email us so we can send our promotional one by mail. |
