The fall of Ghana was marked by the battle of Kirina. When Ghana fell to invading forces, Mali had raised under the greatness of their King Sundiata. Their King, Sundiata, was a legendary king to the Mali people. Sundiata�s nickname was �The Lion King�. Musa was the next great King who expanded the empire by taking over other countries. After Musa died, smaller states that Musa conquered separated and the empire collapsed. Songhai warriors were armed with metal weapons, like spears, chain mail, and iron swords. Some of the soldiers had armor. Mali & Songhai had effected warriors and conquered at wide spread land. |
